Hot Air Balloon Flights

Usiba Lodge Flight

After the rain on the 29th of March 2010, the morning of the 30th March was crystal clear.  We took off just outside Magaliesburg at Usiba Lodge with perfect weather.  The de Freitas family and another couple took to the air at 06h00 am.

The flight was awesome due to the fact that there was still mist hanging over the Magalies moutain range and with the sun seeping through behind the mountain everyone was blown away by the crisp air.  We flew over Magaliesburg and landed on a farm called Maloney’s Eye which is the origin of the Magalies river.

Our trusted crew, Nicron, Robert and Ben arrived just as the balloon touched the ground and was ready to assit with the balloon and passengers.  Once again the passengers enjoyed an exilirated flight chatting around a glass of champagne and orange juice.  Our recovery vehicle then collected the passengers to take them back to the lodge where they enjoyed their buffet country breakfast.

And another 8 passengers flew the oldest form of flight known to man and had a excellent morning.

Weather is looking good for our flights for easter weekend.  So hurry and book your space today.
