Good morning Sunnies!

A BIG thank you to all of our passengers who flew with us on Saturday 28 August 2010!

Sibongile, Nathan, Rita, Costas, Yolandie, Andries, Ashley and Eloise had the courage to defy the laws of gravity and explore the oldest form of flight known to man.

Our crew were all in a great mood on Saturday morning, making for good fun and a lot of laughs.

Koos took the advertising to a whole new level by running after the balloon with our Sun Fun banner LOL

While on their flight our guests had the opportunity to see the sun rise while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Magaliesberg.

As our passengers were lazily drifting with the winds the Sun Fun crew were following behind them. Our job: Follow and retrieve. So we were in our trusted vehicles ready and waiting for Mervin to give us instructions.

The flight of an hour took the balloon on a far journey landing almost in the middle of a herd of Camels. Yes…. camels.

You never know what you might see on our flights…. the possibilities are endless…

We will take off, just outside the town of Magaliesburg. These picturesque lodges are situated in the beautiful valley surrounding Magaliesburg and is a mere 40 minutes drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. Spoil yourself, your loved ones, colleagues or clients with an adventure they will never forget.

After your arrival, you will enjoy refreshments whilst being entertained by an experienced balloon crew inflating the balloon and preparing it for take off. Once your hot air balloon is ready you will board after which your pilot will brief you on what to expect. Soon you will be floating gently through the air, drifting over tree tops through the valleys drinking in the crisp, fresh atmosphere that accompanies the country surroundings whilst sipping champagne, forgetting about everything else as you relax and lower your stress levels.

After the hot air balloon flight you will be transferred back to the lodge for a scrumptious breakfast away from the hustle and bustle of city life. During breakfast you will be presented with a personalised certificate, the perfect momentum for an unforgettable experience. You can now continue your day enjoying all that the Magalies meander has to offer at your own leisure.

What To Expect

This adventure calls for some early rising as you are expected to meet at your flight venue one hour before sunrise. This is when the air is most stable and the winds are calm, ensuring a tranquil flight. At Pilanesberg you will be transferred into the park by gamedrive vehicle to the launch site where there will be ample opportunity to take photos. At our Magaliesberg venue you will be enjoying some refreshments and taking pictures whilst watching the balloon being inflated. After about half an hour the pilot will call on you to board.

The flight will last approximately one hour. At the landing point, the balloon crew will pack the envelope and the basket whilst sparkling wine is being served. You will now return to breakfast and receive your flight certificate.
