Good morning Sunfunners!!

Our flight on Sunday morning had an excited atmosphere with guests walking up and down discussing the cool weather, the “estimated direction” that the flight will be taking and all turned into profesional photographers capturing the balloon’s profile out of every possible position.

Thank you Desiree J, Mark, Desiree D, Barry, Debbie, Jenny and JT for joining us on our flight.

Once again a brilliant flight done by Mr. Mervin De Souza.

His luck this weekend was on a high! Again our flight went in the direction of the Plumari Game Reserve, giving our passengers a flight safari experience. They viewed several species of game and enjoyed the beautiful blue mountains in the background.

Landing on a farm in the Hekpoort area, the experienced crew quickly swooped in and assisted our pilot in the positioning of the balloon for the most suitable place for the re-packing of the balloon.

Our guests enjoyed sparkling wine and orange juice, while relaxing in the early morning sunshine.

We will take off, just outside the town of Magaliesburg. These picturesque lodges are situated in the beautiful valley surrounding Magaliesburg and is a mere 40 minutes drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. Spoil yourself, your loved ones, colleagues or clients with an adventure they will never forget.

After your arrival, you will enjoy refreshments whilst being entertained by an experienced balloon crew inflating the balloon and preparing it for take off. Once your hot air balloon is ready you will board after which your pilot will brief you on what to expect. Soon you will be floating gently through the air, drifting over tree tops through the valleys drinking in the crisp, fresh atmosphere that accompanies the country surroundings whilst sipping champagne, forgetting about everything else as you relax and lower your stress levels.

After the hot air balloon flight you will be transferred back to the lodge for a scrumptious breakfast away from the hustle and bustle of city life. During breakfast you will be presented with a personalised certificate, the perfect momentum for an unforgettable experience. You can now continue your day enjoying all that the Magalies meander has to offer at your own leisure.

What To Expect

This adventure calls for some early rising as you are expected to meet at your flight venue one hour before sunrise. This is when the air is most stable and the winds are calm, ensuring a tranquil flight. At Pilanesberg you will be transferred into the park by gamedrive vehicle to the launch site where there will be ample opportunity to take photos. At our Magaliesberg venue you will be enjoying some refreshments and taking pictures whilst watching the balloon being inflated. After about half an hour the pilot will call on you to board.

The flight will last approximately one hour. At the landing point, the balloon crew will pack the envelope and the basket whilst sparkling wine is being served. You will now return to breakfast and receive your flight certificate.
