Another engagement at 5000 ft in the air.
This was a very exciting moment for a webdesigner from the West Rand as he asked his girlfriend to marry him in our Hot Air Balloon flight on the 16th of March 2010.
On arrival at the lodge, the sun was just about to rise when the couple and soon to be Mrs. Cook climbed into the Hot Air balloon.
This picturesque lodge is situated in the beautiful valley surrounding Magaliesburg and is a mere 40 minutes drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria.
This adventure calls for some early rising as you are expected to meet at your flight venue one hour before sunrise. This is when the air is most stable and the winds are calm, ensuring a tranquil flight.
Little did she know that he was about to propose and at 5000 ft in the air, he popped the big question, “Will you marry me?”
Of course on such a romantic flight watching the sun rise over the Magaliesburg mountain range, she could’nt resist. The answer was “Yes”
This is the most romantic and unexpected place to propose and for our couples -The most unforgettable moment!
With hunger setting in just after the champagne on landing, the passengers was transferred in our recovery vehicle back to lodge to enjoy a full buffet breakfast.
